How do I customise system codes?

You can edit a number of system codes which are used in a variety of drop-down lists, including Appointment Cancellation Reason, Customer Referral Source, Customer Status, and Event Type.

You can change the following system codes...

  • Appointment Cancellation Reasons: Cancellation reasons for cancelled appointments.
  • Customer Referral Source: The source for customer referrals.
  • Customer Status: Can be used to designate different customer statuses.
  • Event Type: Types of events.

IMPORTANT: Be VERY CAREFUL about removing codes unless you are sure they are no longer used. If you remove a code that is still being used on other records (Customers, Appointments, etc) then that code will disappear from all of those records.  In this case it may be better to disable the code.

To change the codes...

  1. Login as an admin level user.
  2. Select Account > Codes from the menu.
  3. Select the tab for the code you want to change.
  4. You can change the labels, disable/enable a code, remove codes, add new codes, and reorder them.
  5. When you are done, click the [Save] button to save your changes.

For each set of codes you can have up to 30 options. You can change the order of appearance in the drop down list, by clicking the arrow buttons.
