What is the Customer Birthday Report?

The Customer Birthday Report provides you with a list of customers with upcoming birthdays.

Recording Customer's Date of Birth

The report uses the Date of Birth field in the Customer record.  If you want to use the Customer Birthday Report, then the first step is to make sure that you record the DOB for as many of your customers as possible.

Running the Report

To run the Customer Birthday Report...

1. Log in to BizDiary as an admin or manager level user.
2. Go to Reports > Run Report.
3. Select Custs: Birthdays.
4. Choose a defined Range OR Enter the From date and To date.
5. Go to the Output tab, and change the options as needed.
6. Click [Run].
7. The report opens as a PDF which you can Save or Print.

Using the Report

Listing All Customers

If you do not specify a date range the report will list all customers, starting with those who do not have a DOB recorded, and then followed by the birthdays in order from 1st January to 31st December.  You might want to do this as a quick way of checking for customers who do not have their DOB on record.

Once a week / Once a month

To run the report for the current week or month, just choose the appropriate range.

You might for example run the report at the start of the month, and then use the list to send out birthday greetings.

Or you could print it off once a week, and have it at reception so that the receptionist can call each customer on their birthday.
