Where do SMS replies go?
Whether or not a customer can reply to an SMS, and what happens if they do depends on your settings.
If you have Allow SMS replies turned ON, ...
- Short replies to SMS reminders, such as "Y", "Yes", "N", "No" will be handled according to whether or not you allow "Yes confirms" and "No cancels".
- Other SMS replies will be sent to the Reception Email address.
- All SMS replies can be viewed, along with the original message in the SMS Detail report.
If you have Allow SMS replies turned OFF, ...
- If you have a mobile number entered in the SMS Sender then replies will go to that number.
- If you have text in the SMS Sender (e.g. "MyBusiness") then the recipient will not be able to send a reply.
